Holding furnaces ULTRAHOLD

In some foundries, instead of large capacity of metal melting furnaces, it is preferred to use small capacity furnaces for melting and then store the molten in large holding furnaces until casting.

This application is broadly used in many countries where electric energy prices are rather less during night consumption. Therefore, the molten which is melted during night are being stored in holding furnaces and during day time, it is used for casting.

In foundries where large and heavy casting pieces are produced to melt the iron or steel straps or ingots in small furnaces and store them in large holding furnace has great advantage in reducing the investment cost of foundry equipment and furnace.

Therefore, EGES has developed ULTRAHOLD series holding furnaces. In these new furnaces, thanks to special coil design, it is possible to hold the molten metal at minimum energy cost.

EGES is manufacturing 10-20-30 tons Holding Furnaces to be used with UM series EGES converters.
